WD AUTOBODY "REVIVING HISTORY"
This is the story of a rare 1986 Toyota Bundera Land Cruiser, a 4WD legend that found its way into the hands of its rightful owner after years of relentless persistence, persuasion, and patience.
For decades, this red Bundera belonged to a long-time customer of his. The current owner had his heart set on it from the start, but prying it away from its keeper was no easy feat. Offers were made, conversations had, and still, the answer remained a firm "no." Yet, he never gave up. Whether it was a casual chat or a friendly reminder that he was first in line if it ever went up for sale, the dream never faded. Then, finally, after years of waiting, the moment arrived—the previous owner gave in, handing over the keys and marking the beginning of a long-anticipated journey.
Now in the hands of only its third owner, the Land Cruiser was taken to his parents' farm, where it sat untouched for two decades, awaiting the restoration it rightfully deserved. Initially, the plan was simple, get it roadworthy and use it as a teaching tool for his son to learn how to drive a manual. But as the restoration progressed, something changed. The more time and effort poured into bringing the rare 5-speed Bundera back to life, the more the owner fell in love with it all over again. The idea of handing over the keys just yet? Not so easy anymore.
With its restoration complete, the Land Cruiser is once again conquering the roads, turning heads wherever it goes. Its bold red paint gleams in the sunlight, its stance commanding attention, a testament to the patience and dedication that saved it from a lifetime of sitting still. As for his son? Well, he may have to wait a little longer for his turn behind the wheel—but when that moment comes, it’ll be well worth it.
For now, the Bundera lives on, not just as a machine, but as a symbol of passion, persistence, and the undeniable thrill of bringing a dream to life.
