1960 TR AUSCA

Few cars carry a story as rare as the 1960 TR Ausca. With its Ausca-style fiberglass body mounted on a Triumph TR3A chassis, this striking machine unites British engineering with an unmistakable Australian silhouette inspired by Maserati’s racing legends.

Its journey has been anything but ordinary, shifting between competition, long periods of storage, and careful hands that kept its spirit alive. 

In 2019, our customer commissioned a full concours-style restoration that would honour its 1950s design purity while preparing it for today’s show stage.

Working in partnership with Creative Custom Cars, who undertook the mechanical restoration, WD Restorations was proud to handle the bodywork and concours spray painting, the stage where precision meets artistry. From hours of surface preparation to the flawless layering of paint, our concours spray painting process revived the Ausca’s flowing curves and sculpted form with show-winning perfection.

The finish was never just about shine, it was about respect. Respect for the car’s racing heritage, for the purity of its fiberglass body, and for the unique place it holds in Australia’s motoring story.
