Located in Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula, WD Autobody is a family-owned car restoration workshop servicing clients across Melbourne, regional Victoria, and Australia-wide. We're proud to be known for our classic car restoration expertise, offering everything from custom panel fabrication to expert spray painting, delivered with unmatched care and attention to detail.
Owned and operated by Travis Duck, Panel Fabricator, and Brendan White, Spray Painter, we bring over 50 years of combined experience restoring a wide range of vehicles — from classic cars, vintage cars and muscle cars, to hot rods, historic race cars, sports cars, and prestige vehicles. Every restoration is a commitment to preserving automotive history.
In October 2016, we became the new proud owners of Sorrento Panels, a family-owned business that had earned a solid reputation for quality work within the local community. Under our leadership, it evolved into something bigger, attracting passionate car owners and collectors from across Victoria. As our reputation spread, so did the demand for precision, passion, and results.
In 2022, Alan How from Creative Custom Cars approached us, having heard of our growing reputation. The timing couldn’t have been better. In April 2022, we relocated to our current workshop in Dromana, right next door to CCC, forming a dynamic collaboration that offers a complete, turnkey car restoration solution — from metalwork to mechanical.
But at WD Autobody, you're not limited to the full turnkey package. Many of our clients come to us specifically for our panel fabrication, classic car bodywork, and spray painting services, whether they’re managing their own build, working with another mechanic, or restoring their car in stages. We work closely with you to ensure your car gets the specialist body and paint work it deserves, with no compromise.
Today, WD Autobody restores iconic cars for clients across the Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne, and regional Victoria, with full-scale of car restoration projects rolling in from all over Australia. We’re trusted by collectors, racers, and hardcore car enthusiasts who know what it takes to get it right and who won’t settle for anything less than the best.
